The hashtag that saved
a 100 year-old company


Cheap imports were flooding the market and Australian’s oldest fruit processing company was under threat. But when one everyday Australian took a stand, we saw an opportunity to help the company.


When Linda Drummond posted the #SPCSunday hashtag, encouraging friends to eat SPC in support, we began working behind the scenes to amplify Linda's idea. We immediately connected her with media and orchestrated a social media campaign that saw the hashtag trend. #SPCSunday had more than 20 million mentions on Twitter, but more importantly, the campaign helped keep SPC on the supermarket shelves and in the cupboards of Australians.
